Architecture Solaire Architecture d’aujourd’hui

exposition architecture solaire EnerGaïa 2018In its operation Architecture Solaire Architecture d’Aujourd’hui (Solar Architecture, Today’s Architecture), Observ’ER presents a selection of 40 constructions which are exemplary in their application of the principles of bioclimatic architecture and their incorporation of renewable energy in the building. The individual houses, collective housing and tertiary buildings featuring in the 2017 to 2018 selection will be exclusively revealed in the Forum EnerGaïa exhibition space. The architect responsible for curating the selection will be available to meet visitors throughout the exhibition to decipher and highlight the contributions of each building presented.

A free-to-attend talk will be organised on 12 December from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with the project’s sponsors (ADEME and EDF) together with contracting authorities and architects behind the selected buildings. It will be followed by a drinks reception on the exhibition space, to continue discussions around a photo gallery of the selection.

Observ’ER (observatory for renewable energies) has been organising the operation Architecture Solaire Architecture d’Aujourd’hui for more than 20 years. This initiative aims to promote bioclimatic and solar architecture towards construction decision-makers and raise its profile among the general public.

ADEME and EDF are sponsors of the 2017-2018 selection.
